Why we exist
Moving something should not take six phone calls
Getting a parcel across Harare, a fridge to Chitungwiza or a load of cement to a site has traditionally meant asking around, phoning numbers passed on by a friend, and accepting whatever price you are told once the driver is already outside.
You could not compare. You could not see where your goods were. And the price had no relationship to the distance beyond the driver's sense of it.
FAST replaces that with something simple: drop two pins, see a price measured from the real road route, and choose between the drivers who respond. Every stage visible, in one app.
How we work
Four things we will not compromise on
These are commitments rather than slogans. Each one is visible in how the platform behaves.
Honest distance
Prices come from the routed road distance and the driving time, not a straight line on a map. When our routing cannot reach a location we say the distance is an estimate rather than presenting a guess as a measurement.
The driver keeps the fare
Drivers pay a flat subscription and keep the whole of every fare they agree. We take no commission per job. A driver who has a good week keeps the good week.
Nothing hidden
The price breakdown is itemised before you agree to it: base, distance, time, and any surcharge. You choose the driver, seeing their rating, vehicle and plate first.
Built for here
Priced in US dollars because that is what Zimbabwe trades in. Light enough for a patchy connection. Cash on completion, because that is how most people actually pay.
The platform
One app, five kinds of job
A courier app cannot move a house and a moving company will not take a single envelope. FAST carries both, and the three in between.
Our drivers
Independent operators, not employees
Every rider, mover, truck owner and tanker operator on FAST runs their own business. They decide when to work, which jobs to take and what to charge. We provide the platform, the customers and the tools.
Before anyone can accept a job we check their licence, their vehicle registration and their insurance. That check is an administrative one and we say so plainly in our terms: it does not make us responsible for their driving, and it is not a substitute for their own cover.
